Grandmother Necklace

Details:
Our Grandmother Necklace is 20" long plus a 2" extender.  Large square Swarovski crystal beads represent each child.  The necklace is completed with Bali spacers and various textured sterling silver beads.  Up to 18 birthstones can be added.

This grandmother necklace was designed to match our Family Bracelet.  The larger Swarovski crystals are a real show-stopper!  It can be worn by a mother with many children or a grandmother with many grandchildren.

History:
Birthstone jewelry, like our Grandmother Necklace, is rooted in the Bible. Many scholars agree that the tradition of birthstones began with the breastplate of Aaron - a ceremonial religious garment set with twelve gemstones representing the twelve tribes of Israel and the twelve months of the year (see Exodus 28:15-30).
